Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you’ve received a fraudulent text?

• Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
• If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure – how to recognize a scam

• Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
• Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

• Direct Hire position

• $65,000.00 to $100,000.00 /annually

• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 03:30pm)

• Evaluate Requests for Pricing (RFQs) to assess the value and feasibility of opportunities.

• Prepare accurate estimates according to the Bid Schedule and committed timelines.

• Estimate subcontracted costs and obtain quotes for all required subcontracted work and materials.

• Maintain an up-to-date cost library to enhance estimating efficiency.

• Ensure all project bids include detailed schedules for accurate project planning.

• Support the sales process by providing reliable cost estimates and participating in order entry as needed.

Estimator Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience in estimating healthcare millwork or commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of architectural millwork, solid surface materials, and healthcare-specific regulations.
• Proficiency in estimating software People Logic Takeoff, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and shop drawings with accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and general contractors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
