We have frequent team events, volunteer efforts, and we know how to celebrate wins!JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES As a custodian, you will be responsible for the upkeep and custodial services at our facility. Routine daily cleaning tasks and cyclical cleaning will be part of your normal schedule. As part of our support team, it is your responsibility to keep the overall indoor appearance of the building at the highest level.This is an on-site role located in Wichita, Kansas. The scheduled hours for this role are Monday through Friday from 4:00pm — 12:30am.DURING A TYPICAL DAY (IF THERE IS ONE)…Clean and sanitize all areas of the office, including restrooms and common areas, daily (i.e., break rooms and control room).Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.Clean and empty garbage and trash cans daily.Identify and communicate minor maintenance projects to the appropriate management team member.Always foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance.Maintain a team environment at all times and champion POET in the community.Since we’re all about teamwork and getting the job done, your skills may be put to a lot of other uses!QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS High school diploma or equivalent requiredFluency in English1 Year of experience preferred for the role.Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.Excellent organization and time management skills with a sense of urgency that drives results.A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE High level of personal integrityHighly motivatedInterpersonal skills — ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels within/outside the organizationDemonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skillsAbility to embrace and promote changeAbility to think objectivelySelf-awareness in the face of uncertaintyAbility to work in a team environmentGROWTH & DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIESAt POET, we encourage internal development and growth by allowing team members to carve their own path to success.
