What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

• Lead tasks within technical assistance projects to support cities, regions, and states in designing and implementing housing policies and programs
• Draft plans, guidebooks, and written products that integrate various economic incentives and land-use strategies
• Oversee the development of plans and toolkits while managing project budgets and ensuring clear communication with clients
• Facilitate stakeholder engagements to identify challenges and build consensus on housing needs
• Track project priorities to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of assignments

What Is Required (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Public Policy, Government, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of direct experience in housing strategies and community development initiatives
• Experience with local housing development actions related to land use and tax incentives
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Proven ability to produce written policy documents such as implementation plans or guidebooks

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

• Master’s Degree preferred
• Understanding of local strategies to leverage Opportunity Zones for attracting capital
• Experience working directly with developers on financing and grant programs
• Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings in environments with divergent views
• Familiarity with housing data analysis or existing conditions assessments
