Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist

Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)

Schedule: Standard Office Hours

Duration: 6-Month Contract

Pay Range: $22.75 – $28.25/hour

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you will support IT asset management and mobility operations by coordinating mobile device provisioning, vendor management, and asset lifecycle tracking. Key responsibilities include:

  • Create, track, and resolve mobile device requests in ServiceNow with accurate documentation of IMEI, serial numbers, models, and phone numbers.
  • Liaise with mobility vendors and carriers across multiple regions to manage device provisioning and service plans.
  • Assist employees with onboarding, device setup, porting numbers, and enabling international services.
  • Provide day-one support and user training for mobile device functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate mobility standards and support audits with accurate records.
  • Partner with the Asset Manager to track IT inventory, update ServiceNow records, and ensure lifecycle data integrity.
  • Source quotes for hardware and peripherals from approved vendors and process purchase requests in alignment with procurement policies.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance provisioning and asset management workflows.

Essential Duties and Job Functions:

  • Manage mobile device requests and support employees with onboarding and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve service or provisioning issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and lifecycle records for IT assets in ServiceNow.
  • Assist with procurement activities including sourcing and purchase requests.
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by identifying and implementing process improvements.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple vendors and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow or similar IT asset management systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with mobility device provisioning and IT asset lifecycle practices is a plus.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in IT support, asset management, or mobility services.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or enterprise mobility management tools preferred.
