Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you’ve received a fraudulent text?

  • Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
  • If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.

Helping you stay secure – how to recognize a scam

  • Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
  • Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Project Manager Details:

  • Contract to Hire position

  • $25.00 /annually

  • First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 04:00pm)

  • Delivering every project on time within budget and within scope while meeting the customer’s needs.

  • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment to deliver on time results.

  • Meeting the target/deadlines set within the project.

  • Ability to use analytical skills when managing changes to the project schedules and cost while adhering to manufactures guidelines.

  • Report and escalate to management and/or sales force when needed.

  • Successfully manages customer and manufacture relationships.

  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation; including excel spreadsheets; word document files.

  • Occasional site/customer visits as requested by management.

Project Manager Qualifications:

  • 2-4 YR college degree desirable.

  • 5+ YR lighting manufacturing experience and/ or project management plus.

  • Must have lighting knowledge and experience and the demonstrated ability to produce desired results Skill and ability to organize and prioritize work.

  • Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.

  • Skill and ability to listen and understand customer needs.

  • Applicant may be subject to a background check

  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
