Elwood Staffing would like to inform job seekers about potential employment scams that involve individuals posing as our recruiters to solicit job seekers with job opportunities unrelated to our company. This issue has been reported in multiple states. The text scam poses as an Elwood Staffing recruiter and urges job seekers to apply for a fraudulent job. Some have reported they are being asked to contact them using Whatsapp to pay for computer equipment and background checks.What steps should you take if you suspect you’ve received a fraudulent text?
- Job-seekers who receive an unsolicited text, email, or similar message suggesting it is from Elwood Staffing should not provide any information.
- If you have clicked a suspicious link or shared your information, take steps to secure your personal and financial accounts immediately. Review and dispute any unauthorized charges.
Helping you stay secure – how to recognize a scam
- Elwood Staffing does not utilize mobile apps or messenger services to connect with job seekers. We will not reach out to you through or suggest that you use WhatsApp or other messaging platforms outside of regular SMS text messaging for communication.
- Our recruiters will never ask for personal information such as your social security number, date of birth, or bank information prior to onboarding. During onboarding you will enter your information and passcode protect it.

Lumber Yard Manager Details:

Direct Hire position

$80,000.00 to $100,000.00 /annually

First Shift
-
Provide clear and effective communication with employees, management, and customers.

Partner with the Operations Manager to ensure appropriate staffing levels in the yard.

Collaborate with the sales team to resolve order issues and maintain customer satisfaction.

Schedule and coordinate daily production and deliveries to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Monitor and track inventory status, supply usage, costs, and trends to maintain established levels.

Submit stock inventory requests to the Inventory Manager as needed.

Oversee employee relations in coordination with Human Resources, including performance management, counseling, and disciplinary actions.

Serve as the designated Safety Leader for the yard, conducting compliance training and ensuring adherence to all safety policies

Maintain safe and organized yard operations, ensuring equipment and facilities meet company safety standards.

Demonstrate initiative by taking on additional responsibilities and challenges as required.

Minimal travel may be required.
Lumber Yard Manager Qualifications:
- Previous supervisory experience in a warehouse, yard, or building materials environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety practices and regulatory compliance (OSHA, DOT, FMCSA).
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams while fostering a safe and productive work environment.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands.
- Proficiency in inventory tracking and reporting systems a plus.
