WordPress Developer
As a WordPress Developer, you will design, build, and maintain websites using the WordPress platform. You will be responsible for both the front-end and back-end of websites, translating client requirements into technical specifications, and ensuring websites are functional, user-friendly, best-in-class performance, and visually appealing. Troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing websites for performance and security will also be part of this role.As a national premier consulting firm, alliant is focused on providing solutions to help businesses transform and thrive. alliant offers six different service lines to our clients and this role is within in the alliant Digital service line which helps businesses on their AI journey.Responsibilities: Meet and collaborate with clients to understand their needs and requirementsDesign and build the front-end user-facing part of the website, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptManage the back-end service-side code, including database integration and custom functionalityCreate custom WordPress themes and plug-ins to meet specific client needsEnsure the website functions correctly and troubleshoot any issuesOptimize website performance, speed, and securityMonitor website performance, uptime, and security, and address any issues promptlyProvide training/education to clients on how to use and manage/update content on their WordPress websitesQualifications: Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field)Prefer 5+ years of experience in WordPress as to demonstrate a strong understanding and proficiency of the platform, including its core features, plugin, and themesExperience with managing WordPress projects and coordinating with other team membersStrong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferred experience with JavaScript frameworks like React or libraries like jQuery)Good understanding of PHP for back-end developmentSolid knowledge of databases (e.g. MySQL) and their integration with WordPress (preferred knowledge of working with API’s for integrating with other web services)Experience in creating websites that work well on different devicesStrong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (“SEO”) principles and how to apply them to WordPress websitesFamiliarity with tools like Git for managing code changes and versioningAbility to identify and fix technical issues with WordPress websitesEffective communication skills to collaborate with clients and other team membersAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentHigh sense of urgency with the ability to meet deadlines and changing prioritiesReceptiveness to performance feedback within a team environment is essentialalliant offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package including 100% employer paid medical/dental premiums for single coverage, 401(k) matching, PTO, company provided life insurance and disability, onsite gym and group exercise classes, paid covered parking, daily allowance for onsite café and Starbucks, and more!Do Work That Matters. alliant#LI-PS1
