Equity Research Associate (Tech-Focus)

Sands Capital is seeking a motivated Research Associate (RA) to perform general investment research and analysis, assisting the Sr. Research Analyst in maintaining coverage of portfolio companies and evaluating new investment opportunities within the technology sector. The RA will lead quantitative aspects of investment research including building and updating financial models, gathering and analyzing data, drafting investment cases and research notes, writing earnings notes, conducting industry analysis using frameworks like Porter’s Five Forces, preparing presentations for Portfolio Management teams, supporting all research process aspects from idea generation to monitoring investments, fostering team collaboration, and exhibiting behaviors consistent with Sands Capital’s mission and values. The position requires 1-3 years of experience in business analysis, strong academic performance in relevant fields, expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and FactSet/Bloomberg, and superior communication skills. The role is based at Sands Capital’s headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, with a hybrid work schedule of three days per week in-office.
