ENTRY-LEVEL FIELD TECHNICIAN / ENGINEER

(Process Equipment / Measurement Devices / Instrumentation / Control Systems)

We are experiencing an overwhelming demand for our products and services. Due to that we are looking to add an Instrument Technician to our growing team.

The primary responsibilities will be to test/calibrate pressure, temperature and level transmitters as well as flowmeters, and other instrumentation equipment. Technicians will be expected to have a minimum level knowledge of pressure safety valves, Fisher control valves, Fisher regulators, and automated valves. This position would, upon proper training, be required to perform diagnostic evaluation, calibration, installation, and other commissioning functions of this material at customer locations. Other duties include but are not limited to being trained on the Energy Transportation Solutions product lime and the programming of those products.

  • Perform diagnostic evaluation, calibration, installation, and other commissioning functions of instrumentation material at customer locations.
  • Test/repair control valves, regulators, pressure safety valves and similar material in support of the Proconex sales organization.
  • Perform instrument calibrations and assist in assembly of skidded material.
  • Maintain knowledge of Energy and Transportation Solutions products and programming of those products
  • Collaborate with sales engineers, customer service associates, and other personnel to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Prioritize safety protocols to safeguard employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Always maintain a clean and secure work environment.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • High School Graduate or a graduate from a trade school program in technology.
  • A desire to work with process control systems, instrumentation, regulators and/or control valves.
  • Electrical, Electronics Equipment, Wiring, Installation, Troubleshooting and Repair.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interface with customers required.
  • Candidates should expect and be able to thrive in a work environment that requires flexibility and continuous change and that provides a multitude of opportunities for continued learning and growth in the process control systems business.
  • Position requires a willingness to travel on a daily basis, assignments may require an overnight stay.

Preferred

  • Exposure to instrumentation or calibration devices
