Sylvamo’s Sumter, SC Sheet Converting Plant has an opening for a Transportation Coordinator. We are looking for dependable women and men with excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills to fill our challenging positions. Transportation Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory monitoring for Imaging business

  • Interfacing with Supply planners and Plant resources on Sheeter scheduling, Finished Goods flow to customers and to off-site warehouses via truck, rail, and containers

  • Monitoring and updating trailer pool, railcar, and yard report information

  • Contract Coordinator for 3rd-party rail supplier (CSX)

  • Preplanning for Sheet Plant outages to balance plant resources as it relates to offsite transportation of Finished Goods

  • Monitoring and interfacing with key business resources in Memphis on projects

  • Manage Edge Cycle Counts throughout the year.

  • Conduct collaboration with Eastover Mill for outages, which are done twice a year.

  • Monitor PPR Cycle Counting — Conducted daily.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point

  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Must be a team player.

  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior knowledge of SAP and Omega PPR

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point

  • Previous logistics experience to include inventory management and resource scheduling

Salary — Shift Team Leader Grade of $36.26/hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience

Candidates must complete qualification tests, undergo physical and drug screens, provide employment verification, undergo background checks, and meet the requirements of the Immigration Reform Act.
