Job Description:
Pay Range: $37hr – $42hr
- The Procurement Specialist will support local category execution for marketing, sales, and professional services.
- This role includes data gathering, supplier relationship management, stakeholder management, and executing sourcing strategies aligned with global procurement objectives.
- The candidate will be responsible for managing supplier negotiations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Provide local category support and execution for marketing, sales, and professional services, including data gathering, SRM, and stakeholder management.
- Negotiate and implement the defined Global Category Strategy for North America, ensuring alignment within Procurement and stakeholders.
- Assist in sourcing strategy implementation and supplier selection.
- Support creation and execution of local sourcing strategies in alignment with Global Category Managers.
- Analyze and prepare reports on supplier spend data, sourcing initiatives, and targeted or achieved savings.
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct RFPs, RFQs, Ariba E-Auctions, quotation analysis, and cost modeling aligned with Global Category Strategy.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure effective collaboration.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, contract negotiations, and proactively manage supplier relationships, including SRMs, scorecards, and surveys.
- Maintain supplier relationships to maximize value and performance.
- Support supplier risk and sustainability assessments and develop mitigation plans as needed.
- Support diversity initiatives within procurement.
- Prepare documentation and presentations for local procurement projects.
- Support contract negotiations and management, coordinating with internal legal and stakeholder teams.
- Analyze and monitor market trends and supplier landscape, staying informed about innovations in the marketing/agencies category.
- Provide local support to Global Category Managers as needed.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
- Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, Finance, IT, and other departments as required.
Qualification And Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Procurement, Marketing, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- CPM Certification preferred but not required.
Requirement/Must Have:
- Minimum 5 years of indirect procurement or sourcing experience, including at least 3 years in procurement.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Experience in marketing operations, brand management, agency management, professional services, HR, IT, or R&D indirect goods and services.
- Experience leading and supporting categories within marketing, sales, and professional services procurement.
- Deep understanding of sourcing processes and tools, including the 7-step sourcing process.
- Experience working in cross-functional procurement environments.
- Proficiency in drafting and managing RFP processes.
- Experience managing SRM processes.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement and optimization programs.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality analytics and perform complex spend analyses.
- Working knowledge of marketing operations, agency management, and indirect procurement categories.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex multi-brand organization with multiple stakeholders and Global Category Managers.
