Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Description:

  • The Business Analyst will play a key role in supporting the WIC project by developing test plans, executing test scenarios, and ensuring system functionality meets business requirements.
  • This role involves coordinating with system vendors, facilitating business process reviews, participating in JAD sessions, and supporting project documentation to ensure successful implementation.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft complete test plans and test scenarios for the WIC project.
  • Execute test scenarios and document results thoroughly.
  • Hold system vendors accountable for resolving system defects and gaps identified during testing.
  • Lead testing efforts for the division s sections of the WIC project, coordinating with other testers and serving as a subject matter expert on WIC functionality.
  • Participate actively in business process reviews, requirements gathering, JAD sessions, and other meetings.
  • Review design documentation prepared by system vendors to ensure completeness and alignment with business requirements.
  • Coordinate with staff from other Office of Application Technology Services (OATS) divisions on the WIC project.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Prior experience as a Business Analyst on a large-scale IT system or experience in eligibility determination or administration for the WIC program.
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent combination of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 3 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst role or in the WIC program.
  • Experience performing testing and verifying that solutions meet requirements.
  • Ability to manage a heavy workload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodology.
  • Strong relationship management and facilitation skills.
  • Sound decision-making ability.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.

Qualification And Education:

  • Bachelor s degree preferred.
