Job Opportunity: F5 Engineer
Location: Austin, TX /Fort Mill/San Diego, CA, SC – Onsite 3 days/week (Hybrid)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced F5 Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in network infrastructure, security, and automation. This role involves working in a dynamic SDLC environment and supporting critical enterprise infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and manage F5 Appliances and Virtual Editions in production environments.

• Utilize F5 BIG-IQ and Ansible Playbooks to automate configurations and deployments.

• Configure and manage F5 modules, including:

• LTM (Local Traffic Manager)

• GTM (Global Traffic Manager / BIG-IP DNS)

• ASM (Application Security Manager)

• APM (Access Policy Manager)

• Develop and maintain complex iRule logic for virtual IP (VIP) and service functions.

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support secure and high-availability infrastructure.

Required Skills:
F5 Infrastructure Expertise:

• Strong hands-on experience with F5 appliances in enterprise environments.
• Proficiency in BIG-IQ Management and automation using Ansible.
• Deep knowledge of LTM, GTM, ASM, APM, and iRules scripting.

API & Scripting:

• Understanding of REST APIs (GET, POST, OPTIONS, etc.).

• Proficient in one or more scripting/programming languages:

• TCL

• JavaScript

• Python

• Bash

• Perl

Proxy & Web Services:

• Experience with NGINX Plus as a proxy server.

• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like:

• tcpdump

• ssldump

Operating Systems & Application Support:

• Proficient in Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems.
• Experience supporting Angular-based applications.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Kubernetes orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with NGINX Plus in proxy and web serving roles.
