Software EngineersActive TS/SCI Clearance RequiredOn site: Aurora COW2 Hourly Contract: $65 to $102 per hour DOE*We are looking for a few good engineers — and a couple of great ones!– to lead a team and take on the challenge of updating Software and Hardware Infrastructure on a classified and very advanced system.This program specializes in multi-domain integrated air and missile defense, advanced sensors, space-based systems, hypersonics, effectors and cyber solutions. This team provides customers with unmatched capabilities of detection and sensing, command and control, and air-to-air, air-to-surface, and surface-to-air munitions to accomplish air, space and missile defense missions. This team delivers information superiority from space, multi-mission automation and orchestration, multiple intelligence (Multi-INT) and resilient operations, secure processing, and data management. So if you want a gig that matters, this is it.We have a variety of roles from junior (2 years exp) to principal level (8+ years) and a few options in between, but at their core, day to day functions of each role will encompass:

  • Updating software versions for COTS and FOSS software
  • Updating software and hardware infrastructure
  • Developing, integrating, and testing software needed to update the system
  • Working with talented teams of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment

You’ll be working with:

  • A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques
  • Modern DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques
  • Software lifecycle practices for large-scale defense project

Qualifications Required for success include:

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 to 8 years of relevant software engineering experience

  • Including experience:

  • developing object-oriented software using Java

  • Visual Basic and Python skills

  • working with Oracle databases

  • with Windows and Red Hat Linux operating systems

  • using development tools such as Jira, Git, and Eclipse

  • Experience upgrading complex hardware and software systems desired

  • Experience upgrading COTS and FOSS software huge plus
