Position: Java Developer
Location: Albany, NY (Onsite)
Duration: 12+ Months (Possible Extension)
Job Description:
Seeking a skilled and collaborative Java Developer to support modernization initiatives for state-level health and human services programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable, and high-performance Java applications in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Mandatory Qualifications:

15+ years total IT experience, including 7+ years as a Java Developer

2+ years in a lead developer role

Strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA

Hands-on with Microservices, RESTful APIs, Maven/Gradle, JUnit, Mockito

Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)

Strong database experience: Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL
-
2+ years of State or Federal Government project experience

Excellent communication and analytical skills
Desirable Qualifications:

Experience in Health and Human Services or Integrated Eligibility Systems (IES)

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent
