Brooksource is seeking an Associate Data Engineer to join our Fortune 500 Healthcare Insurance company’s AI Data Product Team, focused on building high-quality datasets and pipelines that power advanced AI and machine learning solutions. This role combines strong data engineering and software engineering skills to design and implement ETL processes, ensure data quality, and support the development of AI-driven products. You will work on cutting-edge projects involving vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures for GenAI.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines for AI/ML workloads.
• Develop and manage vector databases to support RAG-based GenAI solutions.
• Ensure data quality, implement validation checks, and optimize data delivery for ML model training.
• Collaborate with data scientists to serve curated datasets for AI model development.
• Contribute to the development of scalable, reliable, and secure data infrastructure.

Required Skills & Experience

Education:

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Graduate degree in Data, AI, or Engineering discipline preferred.

Technical Skills:

• Strong foundation in Python (non-negotiable).
• Experience with ETL frameworks and data pipeline orchestration.
• Solid understanding of data engineering principles and software engineering practices.
