++AP Assistant++

MetroGlobal is looking for a motivated AP Assistant to manage the accounts payable processes across a portfolio of companies. MetroGlobal is a fast-growing firm that works in an “open door” AND “roll up your sleeves” environment.

The AP Assistant will work with and report directly to the Controller, be responsible for managing multiple inboxes, play a role in vendor management and work cross-functionally with Operations, Administration, and Human Resources. Daily tasks consist of processing vendor payments, analyzing expenditures, monitoring the various inboxes, and assisting with the month-end accounting close.

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, a good communicator, ambitious, and most important – has an eye for detail! In this role, you are not only expected to support the existing processes, but also find efficiencies and scalable solutions to create continuous improvements.

This position requires onsite work four (4) days per week in our office located in Bala Cynwyd, PA. For the training period, you will be in office Monday – Friday. Candidates must live within commutable distance and have access to reliable transportation.

Working hours are Monday – Friday 9:30am – 5:30pm Eastern Standard Time.

Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply (Associates or Bachelors degrees with at least one internship).

++Job Description:++

  • Managing preparation, execution, and recordkeeping for the accounts payable lifecycle
  • Critiquing, troubleshooting and improving upon various processes related to accounts payable
  • Vendor management
  • Reconcile third-party statements to general ledger data
  • Work cross-functionally with different departments
  • Navigate multiple systems and databases to analyze data
  • Potential to take on additional responsibilities as the organization grows, such as financial reporting, ad hoc reporting, and data/account analysis
  • Data entry

  • Degree in accounting or finance, or closely related field
  • Attention to detail a must
  • Positive attitude and commitment to personal and team growth
  • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Positive, open attitude with flexibility to work on different projects
  • Experience with QuickBooks or other general ledger software a plus
  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication (both verbal and written) skills, comfortable on the phone
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be able to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
