Job Title: Innovation Director Private Equity (2 Openings)

Client: Apollo Financial

Location: Bryant Park, NY (Hybrid)

Rate Cap: $130/hr

Job Description:

We are seeking two seasoned Innovation Directors to join Apollo Financial s Business Operations team , comprised of MBAs, veteran Investment Managers, and Alternative Investment Strategists. This elite group is tasked with sourcing over $250M in investment opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Private Equity/Alternative Investments , paired with Generative AI (LLMs, Agentic workflows), to optimize processes, enhance product offerings, and drive value creation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Operations Optimization & Workflow Automation

  • Partner with Investment Managers and Strategists to identify bottlenecks across deal sourcing and portfolio management.

  • Build and optimize automated workflows using Agentic methodologies and Generative LLMs.

  • Develop advanced prompt engineering techniques to improve insights and decision-making throughout the investment lifecycle.

  1. AI-Powered Product Innovation

  • Collaborate with product teams to integrate LLMs into new and existing financial product offerings.

  • Embed AI across research, deal origination, due diligence, and execution processes.

  • Drive innovation to strengthen LP and fund manager engagement.

  1. Data Analytics for Strategic Advantage

  • Analyze large datasets to surface trends, risks, and growth opportunities.

  • Deliver actionable insights to senior leadership to inform investment strategies.

  1. Domain-Driven Collaboration & Thought Leadership

  • Bridge the gap between technology and business strategy.

  • Mentor junior colleagues in PE/AIM and AI applications.

  • Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a top-tier institution.

  • Experience: 7 years in Business Operations within Private Equity/Alternative Investments , with direct experience using Generative AI/LLMs in financial services.

  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of PE/AIM terminology, investment processes, LP relations, fundraising, co-investment strategies.

  • Technical Skills: Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Agentic Workflow Techniques, Data Analysis (Python, R, SQL), Cloud Platforms (Azure preferred).

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
