Position Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Release Engineering contractor to join our team and drive continuous improvement in our CI/CD practices. This role requires a hands-on technical leader who can manage complex deployment pipelines across diverse environments while mentoring the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (CloudBees preferred)
- Manage release workflows across multiple technology stacks (Java/Spring Boot, Python, Angular)
- Orchestrate deployments across AWS services, on-premises OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), and VM environments
- Implement and optimize containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes
- Integrate security scanning tools and vulnerability assessments into CI/CD pipelines
- Manage Tomcat cluster deployments and Spring Boot application releases
- Optimize performance across multi-OS environments (Linux, Windows, macOS)
- Lead pipeline automation initiatives and establish security-first best practices
- Mentor team members and facilitate knowledge transfer
- Challenge existing processes and drive continuous improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex deployment issues across diverse platforms

Preferred Qualifications
- 8 years of release engineering experience
- CloudBees Jenkins certification
- AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
- OpenShift administration experience
- Security certifications (CISSP, CEH, or similar)
- Java enterprise application experience (Spring ecosystem)
- Tomcat administration and clustering expertise
- Experience with security scanning tools (SonarQube, Snyk, Veracode, Checkmarx)
- Performance monitoring and APM tools experience
- Multi-OS system administration background
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Agile/DevOps methodology expertise
