Senior Recruiter – Financial Services
++Senior Recruitment Consultant — Global Financial Services++
A leading global executive search and consulting firm is seeking a Senior Recruitment Consultant to join its high-performing New York team. With a 30-year track record and offices in 17 cities worldwide, the firm partners with top financial services organisations across buy side, sell side, fintech, and private equity-backed companies. It is recognised as a premier search partner in the quantitative finance and technology markets, with average global fees exceeding $60,000 and six-figure fees making up the majority in its quant practice.
++The Opportunity++
This is a chance to join a privately owned, financially independent firm with no outside investors and a history of consistent growth—even through downturns. The business is expanding its flagship New York office into a new state-of-the-art space designed to accommodate significant headcount growth. With an average global production of $540k per desk and a proven track record of enabling recruiters to double or triple their billings, the platform offers exceptional earning potential.
++Key Responsibilities++
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle across senior front-office and strategic hires in financial services.
- Develop new client relationships and nurture long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate within a pod-based team structure, supported by dedicated research and execution associates.
- Contribute to the firm’s expansion into growth areas such as technology, accounting & finance, legal, renewables, and real estate.
- Act as a mentor to junior colleagues, fostering a culture of collaboration and shared success.
- Deliver consistently on retained and contingent search assignments with a focus on high-level, high-value mandates.
++What They Offer++
- High-performance culture where 25–30 recruiters bill $1m+ annually, with top performers achieving $5–6m.
- Industry-leading commission structure (40–60% for $1m+ producers) and competitive draws ($60k–$90k).
- A collaborative, team-oriented environment with pods organised by product, market, or region.
- Ongoing investment in technology, research, and data (900k+ candidate records, over 400k active).
- Opportunities to own and build out new practice areas where client demand is strong but current coverage is light.
- A social and connected culture, with regular team events, celebrations, and international collaboration.
++Candidate Profile++
- Proven track record of $300k+ annual billings.
- 2–3+ years of stable experience within one firm; ideally 3–4 years in a consistent market.
- Engaging, intelligent, and collaborative—someone colleagues and clients enjoy working with.
- A natural mentor who thrives in a team setting, not just as an individual contributor.
- Based in New York and able to commit to 4–5 days a week in the office.
This role is best suited to ambitious recruiters who want to step into an all-star environment, surround themselves with top producers, and leverage a world-class platform to scale their billings into seven figures and beyond.
